Hydrate & Calm Balm

Hydrate & Calm is our richest body balm for dry, sensitive skin. Aloe vera brings a cooling, comforting feel to skin that feels tight, while shea butter, cocoa butter and beeswax create a protective layer that locks in moisture. A little chamomile and lavender give it a gentle, calming scent.

It's thick and rich, so it's at its best straight after a bath or shower, or as an overnight treatment for very dry areas.

Works beautifully alongside our Barrier Repair Balm. Hydrate & Calm focuses on soothing and nourishing, while Barrier Repair adds a protective layer, so the two together are lovely for skin that feels particularly dry.

Warm a small amount between clean fingertips or palms and gently massage into dry areas. It's lovely straight after a bath or shower, while your skin is still slightly damp, and before bed. A little goes a long way.

It's made mainly for the body, though lots of our customers also use it on very dry facial skin. If your skin is prone to congestion or breakouts, we'd recommend a patch test on your face first.

Shea butter, cocoa butter and beeswax give the balm its rich, protective texture, with avocado, castor and coconut oils to soften. Aloe vera leaf juice and glycerin bring hydration, and chamomile and lavender give it a gentle scent. Because aloe is water based, the balm needs a mild preservative to keep it safe to use, so we use gluconolactone, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate.

It contains a small amount of lavender and chamomile essential oils. Chamomile belongs to the daisy family, so if you have a known allergy to that plant family, or your skin reacts to essential oils, we'd recommend a patch test first.
