Hair Elixir

Hair Elixir is made for the lengths and ends of your hair rather than your scalp (that's what our Scalp Oil is for). It helps tame frizz and flyaways, adds shine and keeps hair soft and manageable between washes.

There's no water in the blend at all, so nothing is watered down. That's why you need so little, and why the amount you use really matters. Once you've found how much your hair likes, it feels light and soft rather than greasy.

Argan and camellia make up most of the blend, with jojoba to condition without weighing hair down. Broccoli seed oil gives a naturally silky finish and is often described as a natural alternative to silicones, while meadowfoam helps hair hold on to moisture.

The scent is ylang ylang, benzoin, red mandarin and amyris, sweet and floral with a warm, woody base.

Start with just one drop. Warm it between your palms and smooth it through the mid-lengths and ends of damp or dry hair, then add more a drop at a time until it feels right for your hair. It's always easier to add a little more than to take it away, and if your hair ever feels heavy or greasy, that's just a sign to use less next time.

Deeper treatment: Apply more generously to your lengths and ends before washing and leave for at least 30 minutes, then wash as normal.

Argan and camellia oils soften and condition, jojoba keeps hair feeling light, broccoli seed oil adds slip and shine, and meadowfoam helps lock in moisture. Vitamin E helps keep the oils fresh.

Especially good for dry, thick, curly, wavy, coloured or frizz-prone hair. How much you need will depend on your hair. Thicker, longer or curlier hair can usually take a little more, while fine hair often only needs a single drop on the very ends to keep it feeling light. If your hair is very short or thin, you may only need half a drop.

The bottle

This comes in an amber glass bottle, which helps protect what's inside from light. Once it's empty, the glass can be recycled at home in most areas. Check your local council's guidance for the top.

Made in small batches

We make everything in small batches and use organic ingredients wherever an organic version is available to buy. Anything left over at the end of a batch is potted into little testers, which sometimes find their way into orders as a free sample.

How your order arrives

Online orders are packed in a cardboard box, stamped by hand with our own ink stamp, with shredded card to keep everything safe (we chose it over cheaper plastic fillers) and a layer of tissue paper.
